Bukowskis is delighted to present Important Winter Sale, the season's largest quality auction spanning all time periods and genres featuring the best of the best within art, furniture, works of art, carpets and jewellery. Highlights include significant works by Anders Zorn, Bruno Liljefors and Carl Larsson, furniture by Haupt and several impressive private collections of jewellery, silver and Asian works of art.

The giants Anders Zorn, Carl Larsson and Bruno Liljefors are amply represented in the catalogue. Highlights from Anders Zorn include several significant works, including "Flottar Maja" and "Märta" where you can clearly see his masterful ability to depict the movements of the water. In the painting "Loftsängen" we also see great examples of how Zorn manages to depict the light in the interior. Read more

A guide for buyers – How to bid


Participating online is easy – You can bid in advance by placing an absentee bid online or live online in real-time during the auction. Choose an option that fits you. Read more about the options below.

Register with one click – please note that if you are an online customer, you need to register for Live Auctions to be able to bid at the auction. Simply click here to register or contact validation@bukowskis.com. If you are a new customer, you must create a Customer Account first. For assistance, please contact info@bukowskis.com.

Register for Live Auctions Create an Account

Absentee bidding (online or written form)

If you are a verified Live Auction customer and logged into your account, you can place an online absentee bid up to when there are 10 lots left before the lot you are interested in is hammered. Simply find the lot you wish to bid on and enter your maximum bid in the “Place your bid” field, after this Bukowskis will bid on the item for you.

You may also send in a written absentee bidding form to our customer service. Click here to download the absentee bidding submission form and send the filled out form to info@bukowskis.com.

Bid LIVE online in real-time

If you are a verified Live Auction customer and logged into your account, you can participate online in real-time during the auction. Find the auction you want to participate in and click “Join the live auction”, and you will be directed to Bukowskis’ LIVE auction streaming page. The lot being sold is shown on the screen – so keep an eye out for the lot you wish to bid on. After this, you can place your bid in the “Place your bid” field.

Bidding by phone

If you prefer to bid by telephone, one of our specialists can call you directly from the salesroom and bid on your behalf. Simply send an email to telephonebid@bukowskis.com by 8 PM on the day before the auction. Please specify the catalogue number(s) of the lots you wish to bid on, your full name, address, customer number and telephone number(s) where you can be reached during the auction. If you don't have a customer number, you must first register an account.

Bid in the auction room

If you wish to bid Live in person in the salesroom, you can register at Bukowskis, Arsenalsgatan 2 in Stockholm from 9.30 AM on December 6th, at 10 AM on December 7th, and at 9.30 AM on December 8th. For more information, please contact our customer service: info@bukowskis.com.

Asian sale

Please note that to be able to bid at the Asian Sale you are required to pre-register for this auction and pay a deposit on request. Kindly observe that the pre-registration applies to everybody, also already existing clients. Read more here >

Payment and collection

Payment

Payment must be made within 8 working days of the end of the auction. Payments for items purchased by private individuals with an address in Sweden, Finland, Germany or Austria for total amounts of up to SEK 300.000 are made via Klarna’s payment service. Payment options, e.g. card payments or invoice, are shown on the payment page. Payments are made via bukowskis.com under ”My pages”. Payments for commercial customers and for private individuals for total amounts exceeding SEK 300.000 will be invoiced by Bukowski Auktioner AB. You will find your invoice at ”My pages” at bukowskis.com. Payment may also be made at the auction at Bukowskis’ Berzelii Park premises. Please note that payments cannot be made in cash.

Collection

ARSENALSGATAN 2 - We welcome you to pay for and collect your item between December 6-8 and December 11-15 at Bukowskis, Arsenalsgatan 2, Stockholm.

No pickup is available between December 16-21.

VÄSTBERGA ALLÉ 3 - From December 22 we invite you to collect your item at Bukowskis, Västberga Allé 3, Stockholm. Please note: We are closed between December 23-26, and December 30-January 1.

As of Friday, December 29th, a storage fee of 50 SEK per item and day will be charged for uncollected items. Full payment must be received before your lot can be collected.
